10-day festival will celebrate rebirth of local craft beer production; Includes dozens of unique events throughout Western New York

Buffalo, NY – – Buffalo Beer Week is back and bigger than ever! Running from Thursday, September 25th – Saturday, October 5th, Buffalo Beer Week will feature dozens of unique events at the best bars, pubs, restaurants, breweries, and other craft beer destinations throughout the Buffalo-Niagara region.

“One thing is clear: that Buffalo loves beer and for that reason Buffalo Beer Week celebrates Buffalo!” said Willard Brooks, Chairman of Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association, which organizes the annual festival. “Our Beer Week honors Western New York’s rich brewing history while showcasing the tremendous revival of our craft beer culture that’s currently sweeping the region.”

The 10-day lineup features dozens of events – from tastings at your local pub to ticketed special events and nearly everything in between – including a ceremony to unveil the third annual class of inductees into the Buffalo Beer Hall of Fame.
The initial schedule of events will be made available to the public on by September 1, and additional events will be added to the lineup as Beer Week approaches. Brochures containing the list of events will also be available at participating Beer Week venues throughout Western New York in the weeks leading up to Beer week.

Highlights of last year’s Buffalo Beer Week included:
• Nearly 100 separate events – pub crawls, food and beer pairings, tap takeovers, meet the brewer nights, and much more – across Western New York;

• Showcasing 16 local breweries as well as several out-of-town favorites; and

• Several events organized by the unique breadth of community groups active in the local craft beer scene, from the Buffalo Beer League to the Queen City Roller Girls to local home brewing clubs.
