Buffalo Beer Week Day 10: Last Call For Alcohol and a Humble Thank You

Two unrecognizable men clinking with beer mugs, studio shot

As another Buffalo Beer Week comes to a close, we can’t help but feel overwhelmed by the sheer love that all of you have shown our beer scene these past few days. It’s hard to believe that the eighth annual Buffalo Beer Week is already over, but we shouldn’t be sad that it’s over, we should be happy that it happened. Hey, forgive us for being extra sappy; we just watched a Saved By The Bell marathon.

It is with a full heart and a cold pint that we here at the Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association say, thank you. Simply, thank you. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule and hard earned money out of your wallet to order a pint of local craft beer and walk into a local brewery or corner bar and ask for something local. It’s because of all of you that Buffalo Beer Week exists and gets bigger and better year after year. We think a round of applause for all of you is in order, or at least another round of beers. Cheers.

Prizes will be awarded for best female and best male dressed. Parade starts promptly at 11:30am from Undergrounds Coffee House at 580 South Park Avenue.

Join Pizza Plant Transit and Community Beer Works at Hop Art! at 3pm where they will attempt to make art from exploding hops. Join them as they will have a few casks on site, which they will tap in the general direction of some canvases and spray some dry hopped goodness all over the place. Then plans call for drinking beer and auctioning off the Hop Art to the benefit of the Burchfield Penney Art Center.

Gruvology will bring some hot jazz to the Colored Musicians Club from 6-9pm. Two Roads Brewing will serve as the featured brewery. $10 for non-members, free for members.

West Shore Brewing and Buffalo Brewing Company are open every day during Buffalo Beer Week. It’s also Steal The Pint Week at Buffalo Brewing, meaning that each time you order a pint, you keep the glass (while supplies last). Lafayette Brewing is also offering $3.50 pint specials all Buffalo Beer Week long.
