Buffalo Beer Week Day 3: Sunday Sunday Sunday

21616251_494838794215991_7907002555314808878_nBuffalo Beer Week rolls on, and while we all enjoy the sunshine and the heat of this September summer and fight off hangovers from the Ballpark Brew Bash and subsequent after parties, there is still work to do today and much beer to be drank.

Today brings everything from Belgian beer sloppy seconds to an Oktoberfest and literal beer funeral, so grab a Lyft and get to it. Go Bills.

If you missed out on Zwanze Day (or you’re just craving more Belgian), then visit Thin Man Brewery on our second day of Buffalo Beer Week for some Zwanze Sloppy Seconds (11am). The event features exclusive bottles, great hard-to-find sours, and much more.

New York Beer Project’s German Oktoberfest, the second of their Oktoberfest celebrations, features German costumes, contests and games of skill, all while Prost!, NYBP’s German lager, which won the Best in Show medal at the Raise a Glass East Coast Beer Competition, flows from the taps. Live music comes courtesy by The Bergholz German Band from 3-7pm.

21751785_1876003449092835_5734246065724772993_nRusty Nickel Brewing Company is offering half prices flights for all of you who went to the Ball Park Brew Bash yesterday. Just show your ticket and you’re all set.

Join Community Beer Works at 2pm for their annual Wake of Rutherford B. Haze. Enjoy a couple drinks at Hot Mama’s Canteen before you proceed to the corner of Grant and Amherst at 3pm to start the parade as we solemnly walk down Amherst Street in mourning for our dearest departed Rutherford B. Haze. Goodnight sweet prince, we’ll see you next year.

Pizza Plant Transit will have some unusual and weird brews from Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery at the Flying Monkeys Canadian Rock Show, 3pm. On tap Pizza Plant will have Flying Monkeys’ Juicy Ass American IPA, Netherworld Cascadian Dark Ale, Smashbomb Atomic American IPA, Chocolate Manifesto Triple Chocolate Milk Stout and Paranormal Imperial Pumpkin Ale. Flights will be served and we will have some great Canadian rock music playing all day.

ThinkstockPhotos-475462252West Shore Brewing and Buffalo Brewing Company will also be open every day during Buffalo Beer Week.

Keep it locked to www.buffalobeerweek.com for more daily blog posts regarding all of the beers, all of the events and all of the happenings going on throughout Buffalo Beer Week. These next 10 days are about beer yes, but above all else, drink responsibly and be safe. If you need a ride home, try Lyft. New users can download the Lyft app and use the promo code ‘BNBA’ to receive four $5 credits towards rides.
